About Me

Hey, I’m Jenna! My goal is to inspire those to make their house a home through budget friendly DIYs. I want you to know that your house is never too old (or too young) to put your own personal touches on it! So pick up those tools and let’s go!

A little bit of my background…

  • I was a professional photographer for 11 years before putting down the camera lenses in 2016 to be a full time mom.
  • I have always had a passion for woodworking and creating. My husband and I renovated our first home in 2012 from top to bottom. We then built a house and then built again, which is the home we currently reside in.
  • We kept our current home as builder-grade as possible to save on the build. Now, I am tackling each room, one DIY at a time, to help make our house feel like a home for the first time.

What does it mean to make my a house a home? Personally, I have never given any of our homes we have lived in, a personal touch or a “homey” feel. I knew in a few years, we would just pack up and build another home so I felt I could never really settle. Now, after 5 years in our house, I have decided it is time to really make this home, and although it may not be our forever home, I am making it a place that my kids can feel cozy in, one that they want to bring their friends over to, a home that they feel is more than a roof and walls.
